We're committed to maintaining the Halt as a friendly, traditional pub where all are welcome.
Since we re-opened around 6 weeks ago, we've worked hard to achieve great tasting beer (including installing brand new beer and cask lines) and we'll continue to stock a varied range of bottled beer from around the world (whilst always supporting scottish brewers).

'Just wanted to point out that our cask ale is always under £4 per pint and Wm Bros beer ranges from £4.20 to £4.80. We always aim to keep our prices reasonable whilst still offering a unique and diverse selection. Our cask range varies from week-to-week and a fair bit of thought goes in to sourcing interesting tipples.

We're confident that we've made some positive changes to this iconic bar and we certainly don't intend to mess with over a hundred years of heritage!...why not come and see for yourselves?!
Hope to see you at the Halt soon.
All the best,

Halt management
https://www.facebook.com/halt.glasgow
https://www.facebook.com/TheHaltBar

the halthttp://www.facebook.com/TheHaltBarnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114284681482585458.post-57906624303242784792013-05-01T20:51:56.624+01:002013-05-01T20:51:56.624+01:00I'm glad it's been saved, but at £4 for a ...I'm glad it's been saved, but at £4 for a pint of cask ale or £5 (!) for a bottom of Williams Bros., it's too rich for my blood, and I can't help wondering if it's sustainable. I regularly drink in Covent Garden for less than that.Finton Stacknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114284681482585458.post-340776407811043572013-05-01T20:11:45.483+01:002013-05-01T20:11:45.483+01:00Don't get me started on right "libertaria...Don't get me started on right "libertarians"!Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13844169940650659196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114284681482585458.post-70059416713067304712013-05-01T19:44:26.283+01:002013-05-01T19:44:26.283+01:00Yes, but that's what the students call it, so ...Yes, but that's what the students call it, so it all works out.

(Digressing shamelessly... I was doing political opinion-type blogging for five years before I started beer blogging; I knew plenty of Marxists but never came across a single blogger who knew that You Don't Say Situationism, or indeed cared. Then I started beer blogging & there were... well, Ed and Jon Stringers to name but two, and I have my suspicions about Tyson. Not sure what this proves. Saying that, I never used to know any Right-Libertarians or Kippers either.)Philhttp://ohgoodale.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114284681482585458.post-14584115576596638312013-05-01T18:50:25.900+01:002013-05-01T18:50:25.900+01:00Surely you've gone wrong already by calling it...Surely you've gone wrong already by calling it Situationism! ;-) Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13844169940650659196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6114284681482585458.post-86214434565877561102013-05-01T17:30:33.863+01:002013-05-01T17:30:33.863+01:00Sounds like a nice pub.
