The beer scene in Poland took another step forward last week with the founding of the PSPD, Polish homebrewers' association (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Piwowarow Domowych). They've made this rather nice video. Congratulations.
Woolpack Dave, it was indeed inspired by the American video.
Boak, grodziskie was truly a specialty: bottle-conditioned smoked wheat beer of 2,5% alc., fizzing and served in champagne-like glasses (coveted and expensive collectors' items now). Grodziskie yeast are supposedly still kept in a few places in Poland.
I've wished I'd had a taste of and it looks I will. :)
That was a fun vid, especially like the thing about bringing back near dead styles. More power to their arms!
ReplyDeleteMy first impression was that it is plagiarism of the "I am a Craft Brewer" that the Americans did. Still, I watched it to the end and enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, thanks for sharing. Wonder if grodziskie was actually nice? Hope so, given the number of homebrewers who are having a go.
